Strategy. Data. Social Good.

Andi Argast

I’m a strategist, writer, and facilitator working in the intersection of digital technology and the social good sector. My research and work focuses on digital advocacy, community engagement, open data, media literacy, and inclusive information policy.

Most recently, I worked as a policy advisor for the former provincial minister of Research, Innovation & Science. Before this, I managed a digital literacy program for the social good sector at a small Toronto-based nonprofit organization. LinkedIn has all my work-related details if you’re curious. I’m also the Director of the small but mighty Open Data Institute Toronto Node. My background is in information science and communications, and I have a Master of Information from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University.

When I’m not communing with my laptop, I can be foundĀ gardening, exploring new places, and continuing the search for the perfect cappuccino.
